Hi Des
Your website just gets better & better. Adding photos to the diary entries, BRILLIANT. Since regularly (daily, from now on) visiting the site my knowledge & interest in wildlife has increased tremendously. And it's all on my doorstep.
If I see you out & about sometime we must have a cuppa, on me of course.

Love the videos.

A big THANKYOU Des for opening my eyes to the joys and pleasures of my local surroundings

Des - email below from Avon & Somerset Police might explain the reason for cutting back vegetation at Station Road

Robberies reduced (Montpelier)
ADDED: 18/02/2008

Good news - the installation of a police petard camera at the top of Station Road and putting pressure on Bristol City Council cycle path department to cut back foliage, appears to have stopped all robberies along the short footpath between Station Road and St Andrews Road, and the over-all robberies for the area have been greatly reduced. Unfortunately, however - there is always a however - there were three robberies / snatches in and around a small area of Richmond Road, York Road and Upper Cheltenham Place, BUT, since the New Year, increased patrols and the arrest of an offender for robbery seems to have stopped this, with no robberies for that area being reported.

Des - could you send some of these exotic sightings down to St Werburghs please. Did the RSPB Garden Birdwatch yesterday and the best I could find was a Song Thrush and 2 Long-tailed tits
